Company Statement
Aquiline Resources Inc.(TSX-V: AQI) is a results driven precious metals company focussed on acquiring advance stage high-grade gold deposits that can be mined profitably. The Company’s primary asset, the Calcatreu Gold Deposit, is located in the province of Rio Negro, Argentina. The company has a diverse management team and Board of Directors with a depth of experience in the resource sector including gold exploration and mine development.
Current Operations
Calcatreu
The project has a similar geological setting to AngloGold's 5 million oz Cerro Vanguardia Gold Deposit, located in Santa Cruz Province, Argentina and the country's only operating primary gold mine. It is also similar to Meridian's El Penon Mine in Chile, which is one of the world's lowest cost gold producers.
Currently, a new resource calculation is being calculated for the Calcatreu Project, which incorporates all of the recent drilling. It is anticipated, that due to the discovery of a number of high grade shoots, the overall size of the resource will be increased significantly, and that much of this resource will be upgraded to the Measured and Indicated categories. This new resource number will form the backbone of a mine economic scoping study at Calcatreu, currently being completed by Micon International Limited, of Toronto.
River Valley Platinum & Palladium
Aquiline has an extensive land position and several properties in the River Valley Ultramafic Itrusive PGM bearing Complex located approximately seventy kilometers east of Sudbury. The Complex is host to Pacific Northwest Capital Corporation's Dana Lake Palladium/Platinum project with a reported indicated and inferred resource of 1,025,500 ounces of palladium, platinum and gold.
The Pt/Pd mineralization is associated with the copper and nickel sulphides within the ultramafic complex and hence geophysical surveys provide excellent tools for locating sulphide concentrations. Aquiline has identified a number of high priority drill targets from previous work, which will require drill testing. Aquiline has met all the requirements in respect of its River Valley properties and will re-evaluate these properties in light of commodity prices and developments in the area.
Santa Lucia, Mexica
The company has signed an option to purchase the Santa Lucia gold prospect in Sonora, Mexico. The Santa Lucia prospect consists of claims located in Guadalupe de Toyopa in the Mexican Sierra Madre, and is located approximately 190 kms ESE of Hermosillo.
Together the claims cover 415 hectares over a zone of strong alteration accompanied by gold mineralization in volcanic rocks near their contact with a granodiorite intrusive. Historic placer miners have exploited gold from old workings scattered over a 2 km long area. Preliminary sampling for Aquiline returned samples in the range of 0.5 to 1.5 grams/ton, mostly from fracture zones across one to four meter widths and the target at Santa Lucia is a bulk mineable gold deposit amenable to an open pit mining and heap leach extraction processes. A follow-up sampling and trenching program is planned to trace the mineralization outside the fractures and through a nearby favorable porous agglomerate formation. This will be followed by an initial phase of drilling.
