Company Statement

Zeehan Zinc is an operating mining, project development and exploration company, mining and processing zinc, lead and silver deposits in Western Tasmania, Australia. Exploration efforts include searching for winnable Nickel deposits. The board believes the company can be developed into a leading zinc, lead and nickel producer in Australia, by extracting these ores through open pit and underground mining, to produce metal concentrates. To take advantage of recent metal prices, the company is also considering the processing and sale of pre-concentrates in the short term.

The shares of the company were admitted to trading on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange on 6th March 2007, following an oversubscribed placing which raised AUD22.4 million. The proceeds of this placing have been used by Zeehan Zinc to complete the construction and commissioning of the gravity processing plant, purchasing key components of a flotation plant, initial mining, environmental bonds, the commissioning of a tailings storage facility, and associated mine infrastructure at Comstock Mine.

Zeehan Zinc is now extremely well placed to capitalise on the current level of world commodity prices.

Production
Comstock Mine
Comstock Mine is Zeehan Zinc's operating, production mine. The Comstock area is held under mining lease 5M/2007 covering over 245 hectares. The mine is situated 5 kilometres west of the township of Zeehan along Trial Harbour Road and neighbours the Avebury Nickel mine a further 4 kilometres to the south-west.

Development
Oceana Mine
The old Oceana mine is situated 4 kilometres south of the township of Zeehan near Henty Road and at the foot of Mount Zeehan. The site is situated within Zeehan Zinc's exploration licence EL20/2002 and has been the focus for much of the company's exploration in recent times.

Exploration
Mariposa Project
Mariposa is Zeehan Zinc's newest project. The Mariposa site is situated 6 kilometres south-east of the Zeehan township and is within Zeehan Zinc's exploration licence EL20/2002. A mining lease application (7M/2007) has been lodged for a 98 hectare area over the Mariposa mine site.
