Company Statement

Silver Lake is a gold producing and exploration company with advanced gold projects in two prolific goldfields of Western Australia, Mount Monger and the Murchison.


Highlights:

  • Silver Lake entered into conditional letter agreements to acquire project portfolio in September quarter 2007.
  • Silver Lake successfully completed a A$30 million  Initial Public Offering and commenced trading on the ASX on 14 November 2007.
  • Ore production commenced in December 2007 from the Daisy Milano mine targeting 35,000-40,000 oz per annum.
  • The 300,000 tonne per annum Lakewood Gold Processing Facility was acquired in November 2007, located 5km southeast of Kalgoorlie and 45km from the Daisy Milano mine.
  • A$15 million exploration programme commenced in January 2008 with significant exploration potential over a large landholding that is under explored at depth and has not been subjected to modern systematic exploration techniques.
  • One million ounce resource base following the acquisition of the Comet gold and Kurrajong nickel projects.
  • Resource upgrade to 1.2 million oz announced in July 2008.
  • A resource base of 6.38 million tonnes at 5.6 g/t Au for 1.2 million oz of gold across its portfolio of assets including the Mount Monger goldfield and its Murchison projects:  Tuckabianna, Comet, Moyagee, and Rothsay.
  • Commissioning completed in April 2008 at the Lakewood Gold Processing Facility to process the high grade ore from the Daisy Milano mine.
  • First gold produced from the Lakewood Gold Processing Facility in April 2008.
  • Experienced board and management team, with strong balance sheet - no hedging.

Daisy Milano Mine and Exploration Projects

  • First ore production in December 2007, two months ahead of schedule.
  • Ramping up to 35,000-40,000 oz Au at Daisy Milano in July 2008.
  • Measured Resource of 93,600 tonnes at 37.9 g/t Au for 114,100 oz.
  • Indicated Resource of 272,000 tonnes at 7.6 g/t Au for 66,700 oz.
  • Inferred Resource of 544,200 tonnes at 8.3 g/t Au for 144,700 oz.
  • A$9.2 million exploration programme commencing in January 2008 targeting 2,000,000 oz in resources across the area.
  • 10km of highly prospective strike with multiple lines of mineralisation.
  • 300,000 tpa Lakewood Gold Processing Facility located 45km from Daisy Milano.
  • The mineralised lodes observed underground have many similarities to lode structures of Kalgoorlie’s Golden Mile.
Murchison Goldfield (842km2 of prime exploration ground)
Tuckabianna, Comet, Moyagee & Rothsay Projects
  • Total Indicated Resource of 2,852,300 tonnes at 3.3 g/t Au for 300,600 oz.
  • Total Inferred Resource of 2,622,900 tonnes at 6.2 g/t Au for 525,500 oz.
  • A$5.7 million exploration programme targeting 3,000,000 oz in resources across the area.
  • Commencement of pre-feasibility study with expected completion in the December 2008 quarter.
  • Large land holding under explored at depths greater than 100 metres below the surface.
  • Goldfield hosts several >1 Moz deposits.
Lakewood Gold Processing Facility
Silver Lake acquired the Lakewood gold processing facility located 5 km south east of Kalgoorlie and 45 km from the Daisy Milano mine in December 2007. Modifications to the existing circuit to optimize processing of the high grade ore from Daisy Milano were completed in April 2008 including a major refurbishment programme.
