Company Statement

Zeehan Zinc was incorporated in Tasmania, Australia on 13 August 1999 as a proprietary and registered company limited by shares with the name Zeehan Zinc Pty Ltd (CAN 089 093 943). On 5 July 2001, the Company converted to a public company and changed its name to Zeehan Zinc Limited.

The Company acquired the entire issued share capital of Oceania Tasmania and ZZ Exploration from a group of which Malcolm Bendall was a part owner. Mr Bendall and partners had originally established Oceania Tasmania in 1980 to undertake ore exploration and extraction. Oceania Tasmania currently holds four of the five Mining Leases held by the Group and it is intended that it will primarily undertake the development of the resources, mining and processing of the minerals once production is ready to commence.

ZZ Exploration holds one of the Group’s Mining Leases, the Mining Lease application and all of the Exploration Licenses and it is intended that it will focus primarily on exploration activities, including the further investigation and discovery of possible resources within the tenements held by the Group. Activity will include geophysical surveys, sample drilling, the commissioning of geological reports and the definition of resources under JORC.

Zeehan Zinc Administration was incorporated on 13 December 2006 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Zeehan Zinc with principal purpose of managing the administration functions of the Group.

Zeehan Zinc Properties was incorporated on 21 March 2007 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Zeehan Zinc with a principal purpose of managing property assets of the Group.

Current Operations

Production
Comstock Mine
Comstock Mine is Zeehan Zinc's operating, production mine. The Comstock area is held under mining lease 5M/2007 covering over 245 hectares. The mine is situated 5 kilometres west of the township of Zeehan along Trial Harbour Road and neighbours the Avebury Nickel mine a further 4 kilometres to the south-west.

Development
Oceana Mine
The old Oceana mine is situated 4 kilometres south of the township of Zeehan near Henty Road and at the foot of Mount Zeehan. The site is situated within Zeehan Zinc's exploration licence EL20/2002 and has been the focus for much of the company's exploration in recent times.

Exploration
Mariposa Project
Mariposa is Zeehan Zinc's newest project. The Mariposa site is situated 6 kilometres south-east of the Zeehan township and is within Zeehan Zinc's exploration licence EL20/2002. A mining lease application (7M/2007) has been lodged for a 98 hectare area over the Mariposa mine site.
