Quay Magnesium Limited (ASX: QMG) is an Australian owned publicly listed company with its alloying production plant in Nanjing, China. Nanjing is approximately 270 kilometres from Shanghai, with excellent road and rail infrastructure, and is located on the Yangtze River. This provides a range of transport solutions for bringing raw materials to the plant and for delivering alloy product to customers in China and elsewhere. The Nanjing-Shanghai region is a major manufacturing centre for China's growing automotive industry, and this is a core target market for the plant.
The Chinese Authorities have granted Quay's Nanjing operation a full unconditional Business Licence as a Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise. As a designated Encouraged Business located in the Nanjing New and High Technology Zone, favourable taxation status has been conferred on the project.

Our factory is located near pure magnesium metal sources and can produce efficiently to meet the alloy demands of the automotive, electronics and emerging aerospace industries.

TECHNICAL SERVICE
Quay Magnesium offers customers technical support and training programs – tailored to meet their needs – regarding safe handling of magnesium alloys.
Proper handling of molten magnesium is crucial to a successful die casting operation. Technical needs include ingot handling, pre-heating, furnace design, melt level control, protective cover gas, and proper delivery of the metal to the die casting machine.
Quay offers customers technical service for molten metal handling.
