Northland Resources is a well financed Vancouver based junior focused on exploring and developing quality iron, copper and gold projects in Sweden and Finland. The Company aims to establish itself as a mining company with iron, copper and gold production on the doorstep of the major industrial manufacturing regions of Europe Northland's senior management have been involved in the discovery and/or construction of at least 8 mines. They are backed by a team that has raised over $100m in equity financings over the last 3 years. Aggressive exploration programs are currently underway on a portfolio of high priority iron-copper-gold targets in Lappland, straddling the border between Sweden and Finland, and at the Barsele gold project in Sweden.
Northland's iron, copper and gold properties are located in the mining-friendly countries of Sweden and Finland. Both countries offer political stability, superior technology, and established mining environments. The region has a long history of mining, and the Geologic Surveys of both countries make their extensive databases and drill core archives available to exploration companies.
Sweden and Finland are major mineral suppliers to Europe, and a modern and efficient shipping infrastructure is well-established via roads, rail and water. Swedish iron ore is significantly cheaper for European consumers due to lower shipping costs compared to southern hemisphere iron ore imports.
