Zaruma Resources On Track To Transition From Explorer To Producer
With a heap leach, solvent extraction, electro-winning (SXEW) plant already under construction at its Luz del Cobre copper deposit in Mexico, and exploration drilling showing signs of the possibility of expansion, Zaruma Resources is on track to successfully make the transition from exploration company to fully fledge miner by early 2009.
Zaruma’s flagship copper deposit lies within the San Antonio Project, which is located 160 kilometres southeast of the city of Hermosillo in Sonora State. The mineralization has the shape of a flattened inverted cone and sits at the top of a ridge, so it can easily be mined by an open pit operation.
