VANE Minerals Rides Back Into Town With Uranium One As Its New Partner

After a long period of self-imposed radio silence, VANE Minerals is back! But where has the company been since the end of last year when communication with the outside all but died away? Minesite, always of a classical turn of mind, is tempted into a comparison with Odysseus: VANE was lost, but yet on always on a voyage of discovery. However the truth perhaps bears more relation to a wild west movie, with our heroes holed up and hiding out in Diablito, Mexico, after a dangerous and powerful coalition of green lobbyists, and their allies in the press, attempted to muscle the company off its rightfully-owned land in Arizona.

Like the Lincoln County Cattle War, which eventually put paid to Billy the Kid, and the outrages of the railroad robber barons later on, VANE’s recent long-standing shyness can be put down to a good old-fashioned wild west dispute over land. But this time round the commodity in question isn’t cattle, nor is it the meager compensation offered by the likes of Edward Harriman and the Northern Pacific Railroad.
