European Nickel Diversifies Into the Philippines
Turkey has been in the news of late as a consequence of its latest political crisis. The precise intricacies of it even make Scottish politics and voting look simple. Nevertheless, the net effect of the upheavals there has been to bring the general election forward from November to July 22nd. A consequence of that is that all decision making in Turkey seems to have ground to a halt and will stay that way until a new government is in place.
Even after that the prospect of a Presidential election to be held subsequently is likely to inhibit real decision making until it has been resolved. All this is unfortunately bad news for AIM listed European Nickel which is seeking state approval to cut down 200,000 trees as part of the site clearance for its Caldag heap leach nickel project.
