Company Statement

Adamus Resources Limited is a Perth-based emerging gold producer which is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) code: ADU, the TSX Venture Exchange (TSX-V) in Canada code: ADU and Frankfurt Stock Exchange Open Market (FSE) code: AXM.

The Companys main focus is on realising the economic potential of the 90% owned Southern Ashanti Gold Project in Ghana, West Africa, where drilling has already identified a existing gold mineral resource of:

  • 28.4Mt @ 1.78g/t for 1,630,000oz (Measured and Indicated) +
  • 6.43Mt @ 1.64g/t for 340,000 oz (Inferred).

Adamus completed a Feasibility Study in early 2007, which is currently being updated to take into account the pending ore reserve upgrade and the current gold price. In addition, Adamus believes that there is considerable scope to add accretively to the Project resources from its ongoing exploration program

Current Operations

The Southern Ashanti Gold Project (SAGP) is located in south-western Ghana, West Africa, approximately 280km west of Ghana's capital city Accra. The SAGP consists of a contiguous block of granted tenure covering approximately 500 square kilometres, accessible via 80km of sealed roads from the major port city of Takoradi. Adamus owns 90% of the project with the Ghanaian government holding a statutory 10% interest.
The SAGP has the additional advantage of being in close proximity to sealed roads, grid power, major port facilities and the major mining centre at Tarkwa.
The SAGP is situated on the southern extension of the Ashanti Gold Belt, host to over 60Moz of gold. The tenements themselves lie just 40km south of the world class deposits of Bogosu (3.3Moz) and Prestea (10.7Moz). Adamus' SAGP area hosts both the Salman and Anwia deposits, containing a resource of :
28.4Mt @ 1.78g/t for 1,630,000oz gold (Measured and Indicated) +
6.43Mt @ 1.64g/t for 340,000oz gold (Inferred).
The Company's aim is to establish a solid cashflow from the current ore reserves estimated in the Feasiblity Study, whilst also developing the evident project upside which is provided by the significant exploration potential of the Company's 500kmē land holding.
Serpentine Ridge ProjectAdamus holds 100% interest in the Serpentine Ridge exploration licence. The tenement covers the Wilson River and Huskisson River ultramafic complexes, located north of Ranison Bell in Western Tasmania (Serpentine Ridge location and regional geology). The Wilson River and Huskisson River ultramafics represent the northern strike continuations of the sequence that hosts the Avebury nickel deposit, presently being developed by Allegiance Mining.
Reconnaissance sampling by Adamus has confirmed that the ultramafics in the Serpentine Ridge EL contain high background levels of nickel (up to 0.5% Ni in soils and rock chips) and the area is considered highly prospective for hydrothermal nickel deposits such as Avebury. The area is also prospective for skarn-hosted Sn-W and Zn mineralisation.
