Company Statement
Eleckra Mines Limited ("Eleckra, Company") was listed on the ASX on 4 July 2006. The Company owns 100% of the Yamarna Gold Project, a sizeable tenement package totalling approximately 3,000km2, covering the majority of the Yamarna greenstone belt. Eleckra's uranium prospective tenement portfolio around the Yamarna region covers an additional area of approximately 2,000km2.
Yamarna is located on the eastern margin of the Archaean Yilgarn Craton in WA, 900km north east of Perth and 140km east of Laverton. The Yilgarn Craton hosts numerous world class gold orebodies and accounts for more than half of Australia's 8 moz annual gold production.
The Yamarna Gold Project has established Measured, Indicated and Inferred Mineral Resources totalling 740,000 ounces of gold (12.6 mt at 1.8 g/t Au) in the Attila – Alaric deposits.
The Company holds several granted tenements and tenement applications that cover sections of the Thatcher Soak calcrete hosted uranium prospect and northern and southern extensions of the Thatcher Soak drainage channel. Thatcher Soak was drilled in the 1970's by previous uranium explorers and carnotite materialisation within a paleochannel drainage system has been delineated within a zone approximately 7.5km long and 200m – 1,000m wide, between 0.5m and 5m in thickness below 1m – 2m of overburden.
Eleckra holds one exploration licence totalling 190km2 at Darkan, some 60km south of the Boddington gold deposit. The Company also can earn a 90% interest in the Dinninup Exploration License application located 60km south of Darkan and has applied for an exploration permit covering 130km2 located 70km south west of Townsville in North Queensland.

(100% interest subject to separate royalty agreements on some tenements).
The Yamarna Project is located about 140km east of Laverton on the eastern edge of the Yilgarn Craton.
Since Eleckra Mines listed and on the ASX in July 2006 the Company completed two RC, as well as two RAB and Aircore drilling programs at Yamarna during the 2006 - 2007 financial year spending a significant $2.2m on exploration.
The Company has obtained excellent drilling results extending the gold mineralisation along strike both to the north and south around its existing 740,000 oz Au resource base at Attila and Alaric. The Attila resource is being remodeled to incorporate results of this years drilling.
Yamarna Resources:
* Resources within 14km strike length of 180km long Yamarna shear zone
* Large gaps in drill coverage
* Potential for strike extensions
* Over half strike length untested
* Recent drilling has extended mineralisation at depth and along strike

- 4m at 6.56g/t and 4m at 2.04g/t Au (within Khan North Corridor)
A RAB drilling program at the KHAN NORTH prospect produced an intersection of 4m at 6.5 g/t Au from 22m and 4m at 2.04 g/t Au from 6m. At the same time some exciting new gold targets have been generated, with a hit of 2m at 10.3 g/t Au at the RENEGADE prospect.
At the AUGUSTA gold prospect drilling reported a best result of 12m at 1.24 g/t Au from 27m, subsequent infill RAB drilling at this prospect confirmed gold anomalism over a 4.8km strike length with peak gold values including 1m at 12 g/t Au and 15m at 0.5 g/t Au.
South West GoldThe Company's exploration strategy in the southwest of WA is to search for large tonnage gold-copper mineralisation in stockwork vein systems similar in style to the polymetallic Boddington deposit, using low-cost reconnaissance surface geochemistry.
The South West Gold Project comprises one granted exploration licence at Darkan (100% interest in E70/2732) covering an area of 190km2, and one tenement application covering 250km2 at Dinninup of (E70/2955, the Company has a right to farm in to a 90% interest).
Darkan - E70/2732The Darkan licence is centered some 60km southeast of the Boddington gold project in southwest WA. The tenement covers a section of the Darkan Fault, which the Company interprets as traversing close to the area of the Boddington gold deposit.
The Company's initial laterite sampling program at Darkan returned slightly elevated gold, copper and silver values in sheared and quartz veined rocks close to the trace of the fault zone. The results are considered encouraging and supportive of the exploration concept. Additional sampling is planned to improve the definition of the anomalies, which will require compensation/access agreements being negotiated with the relevant landholders.
Dinninup - E70/2955The project is located 60km south of Darkan and covers anomalous geochemistry in a similar favourable structural position as at Darkan. Eleckra has the right to farm in to a 90% interest in the tenement by spending $500,000.
The tenement covers terrain demonstrating favourable structural architecture with associated zones of demagnetisation and geochemical anomalism. Like Boddington, which lies on a disturbed area of the major NW trending Darkan fault zone, the Dinninup project lies on a disturbed area of a major NW trending structural corridor termed the Boyup Brook Fault.
The Dinninup Project will complement Eleckra's Darkan project, and form part of Eleckra's exploration strategy of searching for world-class gold deposits of the Boddington - type in the southwest of WA. The first phase of exploration will involve laterite sampling along public access roads and tracks.
Kitty O'Shae - (100% interest subject to a 1.75% royalty)
Eleckra has applied for an exploration permit for minerals (EPM16637) covering an area of about 130km2 located 70km southwest of Townsville in North Queensland.
This is an early stage exploration project considered prospective for gold and copper mineralisation, located in a highly mineralised Charters Towers district.
Compilation of results of the previous exploration activity is presently being undertaken.
Uranium:
Thatcher SoakEleckra's Thatcher Soak Project hosts a portion of a uranium deposit identified by previous 1970's explorers in the area. Eleckra's own review of this prior exploration has highlighted the potential for the presence of significant calcrete uranium mineralisation within Eleckra's tenements. The adjacent tenements, containing the western portion and potential extensions of this deposit are held and actively explored by competitor Uranex NL.
During October and November 2007, Eleckra completed 450 vertical aircore holes for 4,792m at its Thatcher Soak Uranium Project. The aim of this first round of drilling was to systematically test the paleochannel for calcrete-hosted uranium mineralisation at Thatcher Soak and Thatcher Soak North (adjacent to Khan North gold prospect). The results of this program were announced to the ASX on 23 January 2008.
Follow UpInterpretation of the results from this initial drilling programme will be completed upon receipt of the geochemical analyses. The down hole probe results are however considered sufficiently encouraging to commence planning a follow up drilling programme on a 100m by 100m grid to determine continuity of mineralisation at Thatcher Soak. It anticipated that this follow up programme, planned for April - May 2008, would provide sufficient data to prepare an Inferred Mineral Resource estimate for Thatcher Soak by late 2008.
Yamarna Regional UraniumThe Company has expanded its uranium exploration activities during the year.
Eleckra now holds a uranium-prospective tenement portfolio of approximately 2,000km2 in area over radiometric anomalies comprising three projects in the Yamarna region.
Potential calcrete associated uranium targets exist within the Lake Rason (680km2) and Lake Wells (1,200km2) drainage systems.
Currently the Company's main uranium prospect are sections of the Thatcher Soak uranium occurrence and its northern and southern palaeochannel extensions (150km2).
Other Commodities:Yamarna Nickel -
Wanderrie and Mt FlemingA reconnaissance RAB / Aircore drill programme was carried out at Wanderrie and Mt Fleming within E38/526 during June / July 2007. Samples were analysed for base metals and gold.
The drilling and aeromagnetic data indicates that there are several discrete prospective ultramafic units with elevated copper and nickel values in the Wanderrie / Mt Fleming area and further work targeting nickel sulphide mineralisation is considered warranted. Initially this work will involve high resolution aeromagnetic surveying, geological mapping, soil sampling of the outcropping areas followed by RAB and Aircore drilling in order to ascertain the geological framework and the prospective contacts.
Yamarna Chrome / PGEYamarna chromite prospect located 2km west of Attila gold deposit.
First pass RC completed by Eleckra over strike length of 500m.
Multiple chromite seams intercepted.
The previous drilling targeted chromitite float within an ultramafic layer of the intrusion west of the Yamarna homestead and identified multiple seams of medium to high grade chromitite grading up to 30% Cr2O3 over a two metre interval, and weak PGE mineralisation of up to 0.2 g/t Pt and 0.82 g/t Pd over 0.9m.
The aeromagnetic data indicates that several other magnetic olivine cumulate units (and the magnetic gabbroic units to the east) may occur at irregular intervals along the trend, to date none of which have been effectively drill tested.
