Company Statement

Since 1994 Tanami Gold NL has positioned itself for success by acquiring a major ground position in the Tanami-Arunta Province, gaining access to large areas through negotiating agreements with the Aboriginal owners, and completing successful regional early stage exploration programs in its own right and through joint venture partners.

On 24 November 2003, the Company announced that it was the successful bidder for AngloGold Ashanti Australia Limited's Western Tanami Project.  The high quality Coyote gold deposit together with the Company's existing Kookaburra and Sandpiper deposits have taken the Company's total resources in the Western Tanami to 656,000 ounces of gold.

Mining commenced in May 2006 with the official Coyote Gold Project Mine opening on 24 May 2006.

The Company announced on 23 October 2006 that the open pit mining operations had been suspended in order to minimise mining costs due to plant commissioning delays. The plant has now been converted to CIP and mining re-commenced in April 2007 with the underground development to start in the December 2007 Quarter.

Further encouraging exploration results have been returned at prospects within trucking distance of the Coyote treatment plant and within the large Northern Territory tenement holdings which have the potential to host multi-million ounce deposits. Tanami Gold's ground position in the Tanami-Arunta Province covers 42,850kmē.

Current Operations

COYOTE GOLD PROJECT
Tanami Gold NL (Tanami) acquired the Coyote Gold Deposit from AngloGold of Australia Limited in mid-January 2004. Tanami personnel moved to site in late January and commenced a detailed evaluation and review of the Coyote deposit ahead of the start-up of drilling in April 2004.

The various drill programs carried out at Coyote since acquisition were primarily designed to supply information for the completion of a Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) for the mining of the Coyote deposit and additional resources at the Larranganni Project.

Open pit mining recommenced in April 2007.  As the pit deepens, it is expected more continuous higher grade ore blocks will be mined compared to the ore blocks mined to date from the heavily weathered top benches of the open pit.

Infill diamond core drilling into the high grade Muttley Lode at Coyote commenced in April 2007 to achieve a higher level of confidence in the tonnes and grade of that lode and to test extensions of the lode which is open along strike.

Visible gold was intersected in six of the eight holes drilled. The position and grade of mineralised intercepts in the drill holes vindicates the Company's confidence in its understanding of the geometry and continuity of the high grade mineralisation within the planned Coyote Underground Mine.

Exploration Overview
Over the past 12 years Tanami Gold NL has built a high quality portfolio of gold resources, prospect areas and conceptual geological targets through its large prospective ground holding in the Tanami-Arunta Province of Central Australia.

Through the consolidation of an extensive geological and historical exploration database and the collective experience of the Company's geologists in efficiently and successfully exploring in a remote and challenging environment, the Company has never been better positioned to achieve its goal of discovering a world class gold deposit.
