Current Operations

Nanjing, China

Nanjing is approximately 270 kilometres from Shanghai, with excellent road and rail infrastructure, and is located on the Yangtze River. This provides a range of transport solutions for bringing raw materials to the plant and for delivering alloy product to customers in China and elsewhere. The Nanjing-Shanghai region is a major manufacturing centre for China's growing automotive industry, and this is a core target market for the plant.

The Chinese Authorities have granted Quay's Nanjing operation a full unconditional Business Licence as a Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise. As a designated Encouraged Business located in the Nanjing New and High Technology Zone, favourable taxation status has been conferred on the project.
Quay’s high quality die casting magnesium alloys are favoured for their combination of light weight, high strength and dimensional stability.

Our factory is located near pure magnesium metal sources and can produce efficiently to meet the alloy demands of the automotive, electronics and emerging aerospace industries.

Using its product sourcing expertise and extensive supply chain network of over 50 suppliers, Quay prides itself on delivering to meet customer requirements. From our Nanjing operation, we service customers globally with representatives in Asia, Europe and North America.

Our advanced process for the manufacture of specialist magnesium alloys uses proven technology.
