Current Operations
It is the Company’s objective to obtain market recognition and growth in shareholder value through the development of mining projects and eventual cash flow from existing projects, and by adding to the current mineral resource inventory through exploration.
Currently, the avenue to accomplish this mission and the goals is based on three advanced stage projects (100% Zaruma) with near term production potential and considerable upside potential:
Luz del Cobre Copper (San Antonio, Mexico), First Priority:
- Fast-tracking to copper production.
- Project financing established
- Project development has commenced
San Antonio Gold (Mexico)
- Potential and ingredients for a major gold camp in a porphyry-driven IOCG (iron-oxide-gold-copper) system.
Alcaravan Gold Project (El Foco, Venezuela)
- Heap leach gold project with considerable upside potential in a prospective greenstone belt setting.
Today, Zaruma has a total resource inventory of 400,000 ounces of contained gold and 102 million pounds of contained copper. However, the exploration potential on Zaruma's sizable land holdings is very significant, both for copper and gold.
Zaruma has a focused, near-term business plan to move the Luz del Cobre copper project to a production, and as a seconday, opportunistic approach, to conclude the feasibility study on the El Foco project and further along to boost existing resources and enhancing the resource potential through exploration.
