Company Statement
Weatherly International is an AIM-quoted integrated base metals producer with copper mining and smelting operations in Namibia.
Weatherly is seeking to become a major southern African base metals producer, building on its strong growth prospects, niche custom-smelting business and solid African management expertise.
The company is currently operating four copper mines and a smelter in Namibia. A further two mines are in development, along with an expansion of the smelter to double annual capacity to 50,000 tonnes.
Weatherly will continue to seek and evaluate other strategic acquisition opportunities in Africa that have the potential to generate additional profitable growth for shareholders.
Current Operations
Weatherly International is an unhedged Namibian copper producer with an integrated mining and smelting business. The company's operations are located along a strategically important and efficient transport route in southwest Africa, stretching from the port of Walvis Bay on the Atlantic coast to the major copper producing areas of Zambia and DRC.

| Mr Webster is a graduate mining engineer from the University of Sydney. He has over 30 years of experience in the resources industry, including more than 10 years in managing director or chief executive officer positions. |

| Mr Herbert joined Weatherly in January 2008. He has many years extensive experience at senior managerial level in the UK and overseas power industries including 10 years with National Power, a FTSE 100 company. As Company Secretary, General Counsel and Regional Director (Asia) of National Power, he played a pivotal role in the establishment of strong corporate governance, the development of corporate strategy, contract negotiation and international business. |
