Company Statement

Northern Tiger Resources Inc. (NTR: TSX-V) is a new Canadian-based resource exploration company focused on the rapidly developing Dawson Range gold-silver-copper mining district in the central Yukon.

Through its exploration alliance with Capstone Mining Corp.'s wholly owned subsidiary, Minto Explorations Ltd., Northern Tiger benefits from a wide range of capabilities from early exploration through mine production.

Why Northern Tiger?

  1. Focus on the Yukon's Dawson Range:
    - An underexplored part of the Tintina Gold Belt, which contains deposits such as Pogo, Fort Knox and Donlin Creek.
    - Immediate area is a favorable setting to host economic mineral deposits, as demonstrated by the Minto Mine (producing), the Carmacks Copper Project (being permitted) and the Casino Project (positive pre-feasibility study).
    - A number of other Dawson Range projects are demonstrating excellent exploration results, including Underworld Resources (recent drill intercept of 104m of 3.4 g/t gold) and Northern Freegold Resources (recent drill intercept of 9m of 70 g/t gold).
    - Improving infrastructure.
    - Settled land claims.
  2. Drilling success at Sonora Gulch, our principal project, continues to demonstrate the property's potential (including a 2008 drill intercept of 27m of 5 g/t gold, 12 g/t silver and 0.23% copper).
  3. Exploration alliance with Capstone Mining Corp. provides us with broad range of exploration and development expertise.
  4. Management team has a broad range of exploration and public company expertise, including substantial experience in the Dawson Range.
    Strategy

Aggressively explore the Yukon's Dawson Range for economic mineral deposits, including:
  1. Continue to advance the Sonora Gulch gold property.
  2. Explore for additional Minto-style deposits using Capstone Mining Corp.'s proprietary technical expertise.
  3. Combine our regional expertise and the extensive historical data received from Capstone to generate additional Dawson Range targets.
  4. Use access to Minto infrastructure to control costs and facilitate regional exploration.

Capstone Mining Corp. Exploration Alliance
Northern Tiger has an exploration alliance with Capstone Mining Corp.'s wholly owned subsidiary Minto Explorations Ltd. Capstone is the operator of the high grade copper-gold Minto Mine - the only operating hard rock mine in the Yukon.

The exploration alliance provides for:
  1. Cooperation on planning and executing exploration programs and long term strategies for the area.
  2. Sharing of proprietary technical expertise to assist project advancement.
  3. Access to Capstone's infrastructure to facilitate exploration in the region.

Current Operations

Sonora Gulch Project
Minerals: Gold-silver-copper
Location: South-central Yukon, 110 km NW of Carmacks; 40 km west of Capstone Mining Corp.'s high grade Minto Mine
Area: 5,244 hectares (12,952 acres)
Ownership: 100% by Northern Tiger, subject to Capstone's back-in rights

Overview
Sonora Gulch is Northern Tiger's principal project. It is located in the heart of the Yukon's Dawson Range - an underexplored part of the larger Tintina Gold Belt. Placer gold mines have operated on streams draining the Sonora Gulch property since the turn of the century, recovering angular nuggets of gold and tetradymite (a bismuth-tellurium mineral).

Exploration at Sonora Gulch has indicated the existence of a strongly altered system hosting multiple styles of mineralization and exceeding 2 kilometres in length. Two significant zones of gold mineralization have been discovered along this trend - the Nightmusic and Amadeus Zones.

Drilling
2008 was the third consecutive season of drilling on Sonora Gulch (2006 and 2007 programs were conducted by Firestone Ventures). A total of 6,084 metres were drilled in 32 holes, including the following significant intercepts:

Nightmusic Zone
Hole SG-08-27 returned a 26.6 metre intercept grading 5.0 g/t gold, 11.9 g/t silver, and 0.23% copper, including a 4.0 metre zone grading 25.8 g/t gold and 6.5 g/t silver.
Hole SG-08-28 returned a 23.0 metre intercept grading 1.3 g/t gold, 21.5 g/t silver and 0.44% copper, including a 5.0 metre zone grading 3.3 g/t gold, 42.1 g/t silver and 1.00% copper.

Amadeus Zone
Hole SG-06-06 returned a 15.3 metre intercept grading 6.2 g/t gold and 3.0 g/t silver, including a 5.0 metre zone grading 12.2 g/t gold and 4.8 g/t silver.
Hole SG-07-12 returned a 64.0 metre intercept grading 1.0 g/t gold and 6.9 g/t silver, including a 4.0 metre zone grading 5.2 g/t gold and 8.3 g/t silver.

Other Dawson Range Projects
Minerals: Copper-Gold
Location: Dawson Range, in the South-central Yukon
Ownership: 100% by Northern Tiger, subject to Capstone Mining Corp.'s back-in rights

Bond, Dad, Del, Led and Mel Projects
These 5 Dawson Range projects were acquired by Northern Tiger from Capstone Mining Corp.'s wholly owned subsidiary, Minto Explorations Ltd. The properties were staked by Minto Exploration based on geochemical, structural and geological similarities to Minto Mine mineralization.

Exploration Database
In its agreement with Capstone, Northern Tiger also acquired an extensive set of historical databases for the Dawson Range. Northern Tiger intends to combine our extensive in-house regional experience with the historical exploration data to generate additional targets in the area.

2009 Exploration Plans
$1 Million Yukon exploration program is budgeted, including:

  • 5 diamond drill holes testing the extent of last year’s Nightmusic discovery.
  • 2 diamond drill holes testing the Allegro Anomaly.
  • Additional surface exploration at Sonora Gulch to delineate future drill targets.
  • More detailed look at two of our prospective Minto-style properties with the objective of advancing at least one to the drill-ready stage for 2010
