AXMIN Inc. a gold exploration company offers dynamic growth with a track record of finding and developing mines in Africa. AXMIN's strategy is to focus on newly democratic countries where it has the opportunity to acquire highly prospective ground as an early entrant. The Company has a substantial depth of African experience both through its team of explorers and its major shareholder The Addax and Oryx Group.
AXMIN’s first feasibility study is nearing fruition at Passendro in Central African Republic as the Kofi Project in Mali and the Komahun Project in Sierra Leone rapidly gain momentum. The company’s objective is to maintain the pace of advancement in 2007, ensuring a strong pipeline of development projects to follow Passendro as AXMIN makes the transition from explorer towards producer.
Central African Republic
AXMIN has a premier land position in CAR with six wholly owned permits covering approximately 5,500 sq km, five permits cover highly prospective Archaean greenstone belts the Bambari-Bakala Permits contains AXMIN's most advanced discovery, the Passendro Gold Project located in the centre of the 120 km long Bambari gold belt. Currently Passendro has an indicated resource of 1.54 million ounces (18.62 Mt grading 2.6 g/t Au) plus an inferred resource of 1.04 million ounces (16.82 Mt grading 2.0 g/t Au), however 14 significant additional gold anomalies are recognised within the Bambari belt and drill testing is expected to increase the resource substantially. A pre-feasibility study is scheduled for completion in late April 2006 with the definitive feasibility study to be completed in early 2007 targeting a planned production profile of up to 200,000 ounces per year. Included within the indicated resource is over 750,000 ounces at the Katsia and French Camp deposits which grade in excess of 3.6 g/t Au and would be the preferred feed for the first several years of production.
RC drilling program at several new gold zones on the Company's Pouloubou permit, located 100 km to the south of Bambari-Bakala permits is just completing, results are expected shortly.
The last permit (Sosso Polipo) located in western CAR Proterozoic terrain has historic gold production and hard rock potential exploration is expected to begin in mid-2006.
Mali
AXMIN's Kofi Project in Mali is strategically located within 10-15 km of Randgold's Loulo-Yaela Mine and Nevsun's Tabakoto-Segal Mine. In September to 2005 AXMIN regained control of its Kofi project (82-85% ownership) and accelerated its exploration program with the objective to outline further deposits and build upon its established resource that is capable of a stand alone project. Currently AXMIN has delineated 300,000 ounces at Kofi in Zones SW C & B, 45,000 (0.415 Mt grading 3.2 g/t Au) and 245,000 ounces (2.030 Mt grading 3.8 g/t Au). Results of the 14,000 m RAB and 3,000 m core program which is targeting large scale anomalies of Loulo-Yalea type mineralisation is expect 3Q 06.
Sierra Leone
AXMIN's early entrant advantage has allowed it to establish a substantial land position in Sierra Leone with five permits covering over 600 sq km, the most advanced of which is the Nimini Hills Permit which AXMIN has the right to earn 60% interest over the three years. Initial results from drilling at Nimini Hills has confirmed gold mineralisation at the Komahun Prospect, for a strike of 800 metres but soil anomalies indicate that it has the potential of 1.4 km. Definition drilling program began in April 06 at Komahun Prospect and results are expected mid-2006.
