Company Statement

Anglesey Mining plc is a UK based company with a full London Stock Exchange listing which currently holds:

The Labrador Iron Ore project, currently under active development, which is scheduled to produce direct shipping lump and sinter fine ores in mid 2010. This project is fully funded and has relatively low capital expenditure requirements. The major iron ore deposits comprised in the project were previously operated by the Iron Ore Company of Canada. Anglesey holds 50% of Labrador Iron Mines Holdings Limited (TSX:LIR) which owns 100% of the Schefferville iron ore project. See the Labrador Iron Mines Holdings website for further details. 

The historically important Parys Mountain zinc-copper-lead deposit in North Wales, UK with a total resource of 7.76 million tonnes.

  • Labrador Iron Mines - Schefferville ProjectDirect shipping lump and sinter fines hematite iron ore in Labrador
  • Project already partially developed - 
    - short time to production - scheduled for mid 2010
    - low capital expenditure requirements - fully funded
  • Existing rail transportation, deep water ports, shipping facilities and hydro power
  • Target production of 1.3 million tonnes per year by 2010, increasing to 3.5 million tonnes after 3 years
  • Potential mine life of more than 20 years
  • Former operations of the Iron Ore Company of Canada
