AmLib United Holdings was established in May 2000 and its objective is to build significant gold mining operations in Liberia, West Africa. The Company’s mining and exploration interests are gold and diamonds, the Company holds one Mineral Development Agreement (MDA) and 7 Exploration Licenses acquired between 2000 and 2003, covering a total surface area of 3,400 km2. The company expects to negotiate four more MDA’s in Q1 2008. AmLib’s goal is to prove up a world class resource at its Kokoya and Cestos licences. AmLib’s executive offices are located in the capital city, Monrovia and has its field headquarters in the Kokoya district of central Liberia.
AmLib’s Mission –
• Continue pioneering exploration of Liberia’s gold resources
• Complete development of eight gold and diamond properties
• Commence mining operations at Kokoya
• Commence mining on all other properties beginning with Cestos
• Become the largest producer of gold in Liberia
Kokoya
At the end of Q4 2007, diamond drill holes totalling 17,850m were completed. Exploration highlights at Kokoya to date include an open-ended Main Trend with an average grade of 8g/t gold. The high-grade zone of the asset had an average grade of 20g/t gold. The average grade within the test area is 3g/t. SRK Consulting (UK) is reviewing Kokoya results ongoing and reports its resource estimates using the guidelines given in the Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves (The JORC Code).
Cestos
Cestos is thought to be one of the most prospective gold bearing regions in Liberia. Reconnaissance work indicates a soil anomaly that may reach 70km. An artisans’ pit was recently discovered with a 20m zone averaging 2.5 oz/ton (uncut). Recent activity includes ten trenches with a combined length in excess of one kilometre. These trenches were excavated to explore a 500m strike length of the Innis pit mineralisation. A total of 550 samples, mostly composites over two metre intervals, were collected from the trenches and were air-freighted to SGS laboratory in Ghana for analysis.
