Current Operations
Canada
•British Columbia
Aldershot entered into an option agreement dated June 28, 2005 to acquire a 100% interest in five groups of mineral claims located in the province of British Columbia in Canada. The five prospective uranium properties cover 115 claim blocks totaling approximately 34,000 hectares.
During 2007 Aldershot conducted exploration at its Atlin East, Grand Forks and Kelowna-Beaverdell Project areas and the Company decided not to pursue its interest in the Atlin, Grand Forks and Okanagan/Oliver properties.
On 24 April 2008, the British Columbia Minister of State for Mining Kevin Krueger announced a ban on uranium exploration and mining in the province and that the Government of British Colombia was establishing a "no registration reserve" under the Mineral Tenure Act for uranium and thorium. The reserve is aimed at ensuring any future claims do not include the rights to uranium.
The effect of the BC Government's moratorium on uranium exploration and development is a significant disappointment to the Company and was completed without due process or any consultation. As a result of this action by the government, management has decided to withdraw from uranium exploration in British Colombia and is currently returning the properties to the vendor.
•Quebec Uranium Properties
Aldershot entered into option agreements during 2006 and 2007 to acquire an interest in groups of mineral claims located in the province of Quebec in Canada.
During 2008 it become clear that the Company would not be able to raise sufficient funding to continue with its plans for exploring its claims in the province of Quebec.
Consequently management has devoted considerable time to negotiating with the optionees for the respective claims to be returned to them in a cash neutral manner for the Company. The Company, therefore, has returned all the claims over which it held title in some fashion in the province of Quebec back to the original owners (the optionees).
Australia
•Northern Territory Uranium Projects
Within the Northern Territory, Aldershot is involved in 6 projects. The projects are divided between the Pine Creek Orogen in northern Australia (George, Waterhouse West, ABC, Mt Thomas) host to the Alligator Rivers and Rum Jungle Deposits, and the Ngalia Basin in central Australia (Ngalia, Mt Wedge), host to the Bigrlyi Sandstone Deposit. The ABC (EL24555) and Mt Wedge (EL24561) project areas are in the application stage.
Four of the projects Aldershot owns 100%. The Mt Thomas property (EL24557) was sold in February 2008 but Aldershot is entitled to a 2% NSR through an accompanying Royalty Deed. The Mt Wedge (EL24561) project was swapped for exploration licences surrounding the Yuinmery project but Aldershot retains a royalty entitlement of $1.00 per tonne of ore mined to a maximum of $500,000 each.
•Waterhouse West Uranium Project
- Located in Rum Jungle Uranium Field
- 1.5 km west of the historic Rum Jungle Creek South uranium mine where 663,500t of ore grading 0.43% U3O8 was produced.
- 7 km south of the Embayment area that contains the historic Dysons, Whites, and Intermediate deposits where over 500,000t of ore was produced and where the Brown’s Oxide project (Cu-Pb-Co-Ni-Ag) is currently being commissioned.
- Located 20km NW of Aldershot’s George Project where drilling by Aldershot in 2007 intersected 7.1m of 0.35% U (0.41% U3O8) from hole ARDDH002 with 7.1m of 0.44% cobalt, 0.44% copper, 0.24% nickel and 0.05% lead.
- Target is vein and unconformity type deposits.
The Waterhouse West Project, defined by Exploration Licence EL24563 is located about 80 km south of Darwin in the Northern Territory of Western Australia. It covers 147 km2 and is currently owned 100% by Aldershot.
The Waterhouse project area overlies the Archaean Waterhouse Dome which is made up of poorly exposed schist, gneiss, and granitic units plus metasediments and banded iron formations (BIF). The Waterhouse Dome is overlain by fluvial and shallow water marine lithologies (Manton Group) overlain by carbonaceous units (Mount Partridge Groups), which in turn are overlain by deeper water sediments (South Alligator Group). The historic uranium mines in the Rum Jungle Uranium Field are predominantly within the Mount Partridge Group, particularly where contacts between carbonate and pyritic/carbonaceous units are associated with fault zones.
Aldershot’s Licence contains about 9 km of favorable contacts.
Past exploration in the project area, particularly during the 1970s and 1980s, delineated a 6 km long anomalous zone within EL24571, including the Riverside Prospect. The zone is defined by anomalous radon and scintillometer readings plus RAB drilling (up to 150 ppm U3O8) and roughly coincides with the carbonate units (Coomalie Dolostone). The southeastern extension of this zone contains the Kylie Prospect (5 km SE) where historical drilling intersected up to 5.7m @ 0.39% eU3O8.
•George Creek Project
- EL24550 (100% Aldershot) covers 84km2 in the Pine Creek Orogen, 30km south of the historic Rum Jungle Uranium Field.
- Contains two small historical uranium mines, Adelaide River and George Creek.

- Visible secondary uranium mineralization (phosphuranylite, autunite and torbenite).
- Limited exploration since 1950s.
- Draft Exploration Agreement received from Northern Land Council representing traditional aboriginal owners (Jawoyn people).
The ABC Project is located on the southern limit of the Pine Creek Orogen, 3km NE of Katherine in the Northern Territory, Australia. It is covered by Exploration Licence, EL24555 which is owned 100% by Aldershot and covers 37km2.
The uranium mineralization was discovered by Australian government geologists (BMR) in 1953. There has only been minimal exploration on the prospect since its initial discovery.
The ABC Prospect is described being about 17m long and 3m thick and uranium mineralization occurs as disseminations and fine films between layers in the acid volcanics (phosphuranylite, autunite) and within the basaltic units, either as cavity infilling or fracture coatings (autunite, torbenite). Two additional occurrences were recorded, 18m and 33m to the northeast but no further information is available. A 1953 diamond-drilling program intersected up to 4.3% eU3O8 (based on downhole radiometric logs). Drilling was generally restricted to 15m depth with only three deeper (70m) stratigraphic holes.
•Mt Thomas & Mt Wedge
Mt Thomas Project
Aldershot has entered into a purchase and sale agreement with a subsidiary of Crossland Uranium Mines Limited (ASX:CUX) to sell its interest in the Mount Thomas property (EL24557) in the Northern Territory of Australia. Aldershot is entitled to a 2% NSR through an accompanying Royalty Deed.
Mt Wedge Project
Aldershot entered into a Tenement Swap Agreement with Thundelarra Exploration Ltd. (Australia Stock Exchange: THX). The terms of the “swap” were THX would exchange its five tenements located around the Company’s Yuinmery uranium property in the Murchison region of Western Australia for the Company’s Mt Wedge tenement located in the Ngalia Basin region of the Northern Territory. The “swap” is for consideration of $1.00 along with a royalty to be paid by each party to the other of $1.00 per tonne of ore mined to a maximum of $500,000 each.
As the Mt Wedge Licence (EL24561) is still an application it cannot be transferred. Once the Licence is granted it will be transferred to Thundelarra.
- Ngalia Uranium Project
- 211km2 property (EL24571) on the western Ngalia Basin, ~400km NW of Alice Springs owned 100% by Aldershot.
- Sandstone type uranium target in highly prospective, unexplored area.

The Ngalia Project, defined by Exploration Licence EL24571 is located about 400km NW of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia. It covers 211 km2 and is owned 100% by Aldershot.
The target is classical sandstone-type uranium deposits within the lower units of the prospective Carboniferous Mt Eclipse Sandstone. The Mt Eclipse Sandstone contains all of the known uranium deposits within the Ngalia Basin, including the Bigrlyi uranium deposit that lies 40km to the northeast (resource of 4.01 Mt @ 0.1993% U308 at a 1000 ppm cutoff). The known deposits are “sandstone type deposits” with the uranium released by erosion of “hot” granites to the north, transported in oxidised fluids and precipitated in the sandstone by carbonaceous material and pyrite.

Cameco Australia Ltd has recently signed an Agreement whereby Cameco will reimburse a portion of Aldershot’s exploration costs of approximately $205,337, undertake a minimum of 1,000m of drilling within 12 months and spend $2,500,000 within 4 years to earn a 70% joint venture interest in the property.
Aldershot is focussing on an unconformity type model, similar to the Athabasca Basin and East Alligator River models. The historical drilling has not tested the unconformity and mineralisation at the nearby Angelo River prospect is controlled by graphitic lithologies and has many similarities to the Athabasca Basin deposits including associated altered sandstones containing uranium mineralisation within a bleached envelope (Pancontinental Mining A11692, p33). Earlier reconnaissance by Aldershot also recognised an enveloping clay alteration. Although this model has been considered, it has never been tested by previous explorers.
•Yuinmery Uranium Project
- 100km2 Licence held 100% by Aldershot
- Shallow (1-3m) historical resource of 1.5Mt @ 379 ppm U308
